Design
For bespoke pieces, it all begins with an informal chat to discuss your ideas, budget and inspiration. Philippa then use a mix of sketches, technical drawings and computer aided design to bring your ideas to life.
Once a final design has been chosen, you then have the option to have the design printed in a 3D wax or resin so you can see it before the final piece is made. There is also the option to have it made in brass or silver if you would like to see the design in metal.
Make
Philippa uses a number of methods which largely depend on the design and overall finish of the piece. As well as traditional hand making, she also uses the ancient lost wax casting process, and the latest in 3D design.
All of her gemstones are purchased from handpicked suppliers who share the same vision to ensure the communities that mine them have access to fair markets. There are also recycled and single mine origin options for metal.
