About

Welcome

In 2017, Philippa left her fast paced career in property and spent the next seven months on a life changing trip to travelling to Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia. Upon her return to the UK, she could no longer hush her inner voice to do something she truly loved.

"Jewellery has always been extremely special and emotive to me. I still wear pieces gifted to me when I first discovered my love for jewellery as a teenager, each one holding its own story and core memory from that chapter in my life. I have always seen it as the gift that keeps on giving, deeply enlacing itself into your life as the years go by"

In September 2019, after attending a number of short courses with award winning makers, Philippa joined the School of Jewellery in Birmingham and became a full time student for the next three years. Studying both Gemmology and Jewellery Making & Silversmithing, she gained valuable skills in traditional handmaking, silversmithing and the latest in new technology.

Upon graduation, her final collection of spinning rings won three industry standard awards. Philippa was praised for her unique designs that moved elegantly in different ways, and her focus on using traceable gemstones of which she spoke passionately about their origin and the communities that mined them.

In 2022, Philippa entered the Goldsmith's Craft & Design Council awards and won Silver for her entry into the Commercial Jewellery 2D Design section, sponsored by Ernest Jones. In this brief, entrants were asked to create a distinctive and contemporary design-led diamond and gold/platinum jewellery set that would appeal to the Ernest Jones professional - a design that would be considered 'Contemporary Casual'.

The 'Ensō Collection' was inspired by the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy. Using the continuity of the circle as the motif for the design, the collection encompasses life as the whole, the journey within, and being fully present. Philippa envisioned the design as a future heirloom to empower future generations.

Philippa has since set up a studio in her hometown of Worcester, UK and specialises in small batch collections and one off bespoke pieces, including engagement rings and wedding bands. She is also a member of the Fair Luxury Collective, which is a group of changemakers within the industry working together towards positive change.
