Gold, Ruby and Diamond ring made from 100% recycled materials. Philippa was asked to re-design an old ring that was no longer worn, but had sentimental value. The gemstones were removed from the old ring and the gold was melted down along with some other pieces.
Philippa worked closely with her client to come up with a design that would reflect her style and breathe new life into the pieces. These projects are a favourite as nothing new is added but the results are wonderful.
A Mariner's Love
Bespoke engagement ring inspired by the grooms time spent at sea. Featuring a 0.84ct, VS2, colour E, GIA certified pear Diamond with graduating blue Sapphires either side.
Philippa designed the Diamond setting to resemble the hull of a boat, with the graduating blue sapphires emanating the sea gently lapping either side.
A reef knot sits on the back of the band only she will see. A reminder that their love, like the reef knot can only get stronger.
The ring was made from 18 carat Fairtrade white gold.
Philippa designed this 6mm wide comfort fit wedding band for a client who wanted something chunky, but comfy. The edges of the ring are chamfered to provide that everyday wear and comfort feel they were looking for.
The ring is made from 18 carat single mine origin gold (SMO). Philippa gives her clients choice over the metals available to use, along with the benefits of them. SMO gold is not only traceable, but also an option where you can be sure that the communities mining the gold are being supported to mine safely, build new infrastructure, improve education and eliminate harmful chemicals used in the refining process.
A bespoke pendant and earring set made as a surprise birthday gift.
Inspired by their love of nature, Philippa used the beautiful flowing lines of the beech tree leaf and created a timeless contemporary set for every day wear. Using the negative space as a design feature, she added three fully traceable blue Australian Sapphires to resemble rain drops freshly fallen from a summer shower.
The earrings also featured two fully traceable blue Austrailian Sapphires and were made into stud earrings with butterfly backs for comfort and that extra layer of security when wearing every day.
The set was made using 100% recycled eco silver.
